Here's What To Expect

The PG Diploma in Advanced Implant Dentistry spread over 18 months, consists of 3 core components qualifying to a diploma on completion of this course.

This includes 20 days of in-person classroom learning over a period of 18 months. Each classroom session will be of 3 to 4 days in a designated month. Course participants will gain 200hrs of enhanced CPD recognised by the GDC. The contact learning sessions will consist of:

a) Interactive seminars to discuss and learn time honoured clinical protocols and scientific methodology.

b) Practical sessions that are designed to develop skills for a range of surgical procedures commonly employed in implant dentistry and advanced procedures like sinus lifts and grafts, block bone grafting and nerve lateralisation. There will be assessment of the practical exercises.

c) Practical sessions to digitally design and fabricate surgical guides, abutments, and supra structures (for conical fit, cement-retained and screw-retained)

There will be a minimum of 25 online sessions in preparation for the contact learning.

This includes preparing reports in the form of evidence from work-based training and clinical observation. It comprises of:

(a) Clinical Observation: Observation of clinical procedures is the key part of the work-based training. This will be carried out at our accredited training practices located across UK.

(b) Clinical Case Reports: This should include a total of five cases under the peer mentoring system. Help will be provided to proactively recruit cases, gain approval, and arrange for the placement of dental implants. These will be carried out under the guidance of mentors who will approve the treatment plans for the five cases and provide any guidance that is required.

Clinical Cases:

Single Implant - 1 Case, Aesthetic Zone - 1 Case, Multiple Splinted Unit - 1 Case,
Minor Bone Augmentation - 1 Case
And one additional case from any of the 4 above

The distance learning component will form the didactic and scientific foundation. This consists of:

a) Critical Literature Reading: Participants will be provided with a list of publications, which will be read for critical review in the contact learning sessions.

b) Assignments: A total of 4 key topics will be selected for assignments. Participants will need to research the topics and complete the assignments. These assignments are part of the continuous assessment process.

c) Multiple Choice Questions: At the end of each webinar, participants will have to answer the MCQs and fill the questionnaire required for enhanced CPD requirements of the GDC

State Of Art Bespoke Implant Training Facility

This course will take a new beginner to the level of a safe practitioner and then to the advanced level if the program is followed fully and you utilise the mentorship offered by PAD- Academy.

The basics of Implant Dentistry covered on the course will help practitioners refine their knowledge of implant dentistry to improve predictability and outcomes. However, the course directors have designed many advanced protocols to make implant dentistry seamless. This is probably the only course which uses advanced digital technology to improve speed, accuracy, and long-term stability along with well established protocols which have stood the test of time.

I have a PG Dip from RCS. I would just like to join to update my skills for my clinical practice and gain CPD.

That is fine. If you're not interested in gaining the diploma you will get a discount of £2000 and you do not need to write assignments or submit any cases.

We are very sorry, but we will not compromise on quality. Our course is designed to make sure you are safe and good practitioners. The portfolio will help you enhance your career. Secondly, it may even help prove to the GDC that you are a competent practitioner. You will benefit hugely from feedback of your cases as a reflective practitioner.

Dr Ashok Sethi is a pioneer in implant dentistry and has been placing implants for 44 years. He has published extensively and reported very high success rates over a very long follow up period. Next year we will be celebrating Ashok's 50 years in clinical practice.

Dr Pavan Bopanna is a pioneer in Model free digital implantology. Over the past 10 years he has simplified and developed various protocols which is guaranteed to increase speed, accuracy, and improved clinical outcomes.

Dr Naresh Sharma: Specialist in oral surgery covers LA, Pain management and medical problems in implant dentistry.

Dr Cary Bopiah: Oral Surgeon covers applied anatomy and 3D bone grafting (Bone plate technique)

Dr Thomas Kaus: Co -Author of the best selling text Practical implant Dentistry covers evidence based Implantology and how to trash papers.

Dr Len D Cruz: Head of BDA Indemnity Covers medicolegal aspects.

There are a few reasons for that. If you consider mentoring charges by other course providers, you will be way better off doing this course.

  • The faculty are very experienced and established practitioners.
  • There are over 15 hands-on sessions.
  • There will be no additional charge for mentoring.
  • Level 1 and 2 of the CBCT course is offered free of charge.
  • Introductory course to intravenous sedation.

Absolutely None. Mentoring is completely free. Your patients pay £1500/ implant including the abutment and crown. There are not hidden charges.

This course covers all aspects of an MSc program and more. Our course is designed to empower you to carry out clinical work to a very high standard. Whereas most MSc programmes are academic in nature and focus on writing a literature review. No primary in -vivo and in-vitro research is carried out. We have not collaborated with any universities. However, if there are more than 6 participants interested in MSc, we can arrange for it.
